The following items are accepted by the Henderson County Jail within the FIRST 24 HOURS of an inmate’s incarceration:

2                    White T-Shirts/Muscle Shirts

2                    White Boxers/Briefs/Panties

2                    White Bras – No under wire bras accepted

2                    White Pair Socks

 

Inmates are allowed to have 2 paperback books, 2 pencils for writing purposes, and cigarettes may be brought to be put in a common box to be shared by all inmates.  Our facility will provide shower shoes and any personal hygiene items necessary.  One care pack with hygiene products is provided upon initial booking.  Any prescription medication must be approved by our pharmacy before being dispensed by our personnel.  Inmates are allowed to keep $10 with them in the form of one dollar bills and/or coins for weekly snack calls.  Extra money to cover the expense of additional care pack, hygiene products, etc. must be in the form of a Money Order or Cashier check made out to the inmate.  These can be mailed to the following address:

All incoming mail is searched for contraband, and may be mailed to the above address.  We will not accept any mail with postage due.

            The jail DOES NOT provide information regarding court proceedings.  You may call the Clerk of the Court to inquire about these proceedings.
